Certification Renewal Workhsop

Your BASSC certificate is valid for three years. After it expires, you have a two-year grace period during which you can renew it by attending a one-day Renewal Workshop, rather than completing the full 30-hour certification course again.

During each workshop you will:

  • Refresh the core techniques.

  • Review the BASSC syllabus.

  • Learn a short fight choreography.

  • Complete the official BASSC Fight Performance Exam.

  • Unlike the full certification course, you do not need to prepare or perform a scripted scene. For the renewal, you will only be assessed on the fight choreography.

 

Successfully passing the renewal exam extends your BASSC certification for another three years, and you retain the same grade as your original qualification.

We are looking to run another Renewal Workshop towards the end of 2026 (possibly in December). To help us plan the workshop, please complete the Google Form below and indicate which weapon system(s) you are likely to want to renew.
